Very often, soft toys bought in a store are presented as a gift. But if you sew such a toy with your own hands, then your gift will be doubly dear. Try to sew a cute tiger.
It is necessary
- - pieces of orange and black fur;
- - threads;
- - a needle;
- - synthetic winterizer or cotton wool for stuffing;
- - 2 black buttons.
Instructions
Step 1
To sew a tiger, you need fur, fleece or drape with orange and black stripes. If you can't find a fabric of a suitable color, sew a toy from any other, because a toy tiger can be anything you want: yellow, purple, checkered or floral. The main thing is to convey his character.
Step 2
Make a life-size pattern. Print it out on a printer and cut out the parts. Take patterns of various tigers on this site
Step 3
Lay out the details on the wrong side of the material and trace around them with chalk or pencil. Use sharp scissors or a blade to cut out the parts, being careful not to damage the pile.
Step 4
Sew all the details with a buttonhole seam by hand, and if the toy is quite large, then they can be sewn on a typewriter.
Step 5
Sew the darts on the tiger's head first. Fold the parts of the head with the right sides inward and sew, leaving a hole for the stuffing of the head. Turn the part right out and fill with filler.
Step 6
Align the details of the abdomen with the details of the back and sew with a buttonhole seam, turn out to the front side, sew the midline of the abdomen. Fill paws with filler. Sew the cut along the back and stuff. Sew the head to the body with blind stitches.
Step 7
Fold the details of the ears together, sew and turn out. Sew them to your head. Sew the tiger's eyes or sew on black buttons. From the pieces of white fur, cut out small circles for the pillows. Sew on with blind stitches and tack lightly. Make a mustache out of the fishing line. Embroider the nose and mouth.
Step 8
Sew a tail from a strip of fur and sew it to the body. The tiger is ready.
Step 9
To make the toy more original and more interesting for children to play with, sew clothes for the tiger, for example, a bright vest, from felt (its edges do not crumble, so they can not be processed). To do this, cut a rectangle equal to the circumference of the toy's chest. Fold it over to make the cut in the middle. Cut out small openings for the armholes on the sides and sew the shoulder cuts.
