The British flag is a rectangular panel depicting a double (straight and "Andreevsky") red cross with white edging on a blue background. You can make the British flag from fabric or suede according to a pre-made sketch.
Instructions
Step 1
Take an album sheet and draw on it with a pencil a full size sketch of the flag (that is, in the size in which you plan to make the flag). Erase the excess.
Step 2
Cut out the details of the flag: five parts of the cross (straight and four beams "oblique"), one part of the border, six parts of the background. You don't need background details.
Step 3
Attach the pieces to the fabric or suede according to the colors of the flag and the shape of the pieces. Cut on fabric with seam allowances, on suede no allowances. For the background, cut a piece of blue fabric or suede to fit your landscape sheet.
Step 4
Finish the edges of fabric parts. Suede details do not need preliminary processing. Then place all the details on the background (also pre-processed) close to each other, pin with pins and sew on a typewriter. Pay attention to the evenness of the stitching and tight fit of the parts. The British flag is ready.
