Musical cards were popular inexpensive gifts throughout the nineties. Then they almost ceased to be released. If you still want to give someone a musical card, make it yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a regular paper card with the design you want. It can be either ready-made or homemade. There are two requirements for it. First, it must be made of thick enough paper. Secondly, there should not be any drawings inside it, at least not related to the plot. If you can't do without it, buy two identical cards and put one inside the other.
Step 2
Remove the music module from any broken toy. Disassemble it, leaving only the thin board. Replace a conventional speaker with a large thickness with a thin piezoelectric one. If the board is old, and the speaker on it is connected through a transistor, remove it and connect the piezo speaker to the output of the microcircuit directly.
Step 3
Use two small watch batteries for power. In no case should they be lithium. Make for them holders, the design of which completely excludes the possibility of a short circuit.
Step 4
Connect the batteries in series. Connect them to the board, observing the polarity, through the micro button.
Step 5
If there is no second postcard, cut out a sheet of thick paper that exactly fits the single postcard in size. Place all the electronics between them, secured with double-sided adhesive tape, orienting the button inward. Connect the sheets between the honeycomb with a stapler. Make sure the double card is easy to open and close, and while the button is pressed, a melody sounds.
Step 6
If the board has separate contacts for the button, connect it not in series with the batteries, but to them. Then, when you release this button, the sound will not stop instantly, but when the card plays the melody to the end.
Step 7
Draw a square or circle around the button on the inside of the card. Inside it, draw a filled triangle pointing to the right - the common symbol for the "Play" button. Also write a congratulation for the person to whom the card is meant. The original souvenir in the style of the nineties is ready. It remains to hand it over.
