There are several types of stitches in cross stitching: English, Danish, "back with a needle", "French knot", etc. The most common stitch is Danish. It is performed according to the following scheme.
It is necessary
- Wide eye needle
- Canvas
- Hoop
- Floss threads of any color.
Instructions
Step 1
In the upper left square of the canvas, bring the needle and thread to the right side, leaving a tail about 5 cm on the wrong side.
Step 2
Enter the upper right hole of the same square. Pull the thread so that only a thin diagonal stripe remains on the face, and the ponytail does not shrink.
Step 3
Thread the needle through the next square on the right, into the lower left hole, then into the upper right and pull the thread again.
Step 4
Sew about 10 of these stitches.
Step 5
Exit at the bottom right hole of the last stitch and turn back. Enter the upper left hole.
Step 6
Go through all the stitches so that even crosses form on the front and vertical stripes on the wrong side.
