Instructions

Step 1

First, create a new file of the desired size and, using the fill tool, paint over the background with the desired color. On the background created with the text tool, write any phrase that you want to animate using a color that matches the background.

Step 2

Choose a font at your own discretion, but it should not be too complex and multi-layered. Choose fonts that are as readable and simple as possible, and the letters are noticeable and voluminous. Select the created text (Select) and copy the selection to a new layer (Layer via copy).

Step 3

Fill the selected area with a darker color. In the Selection section, select the Modify option and shrink the selection by setting the Feather value to the desired number of pixels - so that as a result you get a letter of light color, through which the dark color smoothly appears along the contour.

Step 4

Duplicate the background layer and drag it to the top row of the layers palette. Select the letters and then on the duplicated layer press Delete.

Step 5

For animation, you can decorate the letters with any object - for example, stars. To draw stars, select the Shape tool from the toolbar and select stars from all groups of suggested shapes. Create a new layer and draw a star of any color on the background of the letter. Select it and then create another layer and paint over the selection with a white brush.

Step 6

Increase the filled area slightly with the Free Transform Tool. Place the blue star over the white one so that it acquires a beautiful white edging. Make several of these stars in different sizes, and then merge the layers.

Step 7

Now open your image in Image Ready and start creating your animation. Set the delay time for each frame, and then create new frames, making different layers invisible on each of them - so that the stars change their position, saturation and size.

Step 8

After all the frames are created and decorated, click on the Optimize button and reduce the number of colors to 64. Now it remains to save the animated text as a png-file.
