A wooden hair comb is an adornment that came from the past; even the ancient Slavs combed and pinned their hair using such devices. It spares hair, does not generate electricity and carries healing bioenergy. You can also make a comb yourself if you have the right tools.
It is necessary
- - wooden plank;
- - sandpaper;
- - a circular saw;
- - a grinder or drill equipped with a grinding attachment;
- - wood stain and varnish;
- - decorations;
- - liquid glue for wood.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a plank no more than a centimeter thick from a fruit or other tree, it is advisable to select a material that suits you in terms of energy. Cut out a rectangle 8-10 cm long and 8 cm wide. If you want to make a longer comb, you will need to bend it, in this case, make sure that the fibers are located along the product. Note that the more often the teeth are located, the shorter their length can be.
Step 2
Using a grinding wheel or a special drill bit, grind the workpiece so that it becomes smooth.
Step 3
Draw the shape of the comb with a pencil. Try to make it symmetrical, if you need to make several products, cut a template out of paper.
Step 4
Take a wood jigsaw or circular saw and carefully cut the workpiece along the contour. Sand the edges with sandpaper.
Step 5
Start cutting the teeth. You can make frequent teeth like a comb (about 2.5 mm wide, the distance between them is 1.5 mm) or several separate teeth at a large distance (in this case, make the comb wider so that it sticks better to the hairstyle). Use a circular saw or jigsaw to cut the teeth.
Step 6
Use a grinding wheel to sharpen the plane of the ridge on both sides so that the teeth become sharp along the surface.
Step 7
Now each clove must be sharpened on both sides. To do this, use a special circular saw attachment.
Step 8
Sand the homemade comb again with sandpaper and cover with stain and varnish
Step 9
Decorate the comb after drying. To do this, take artificial flowers, cut them so that only a small part of the stem remains, and arrange them in a beautiful composition. Add green fabric leaves down. You can decorate the comb with beads, fastening each to a fishing line.
Step 10
Glue all elements of the composition with liquid glue to the comb and let it dry. If the items are large, secure them with a furniture stapler by bending the staples from the back. Additionally, you can strengthen the structure by wrapping it through the teeth with transparent fishing line.
