According to clause 2.6 of the document of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian Post", which is called "The procedure for receiving, delivering and handing over internal parcel mail", some types of parcels must be packed in a soft casing. In particular, such packaging is made for parcels with items of outerwear or other soft-shaped products that are not included in standard packing boxes.
It is necessary
- - Durable light uniform fabric,
- - threads,
- - a needle,
- - tape measure,
- - plastic bag.
Instructions
Step 1
Fold the contents of your package so that it takes up as little space as possible. Form it into a roll or briquette. Pack it in a tight plastic bag or any other material that will help keep your package from leaking and damaging its contents. Measure the dimensions of the parcel in terms of length, width and height.
Step 2
Cut a piece of the required size from a common piece of strong, light, plain fabric. In width, it should be equal to the length of the parcel plus one and a half of its height, in length the sum of the width and height of the parcel multiplied by two, plus a margin of 3 cm.
Step 3
Sew the resulting rectangle along the side that is equal to the length of the parcel, plus its one and a half height. Use a sewing machine to do this, or sew a seam by hand. Turn the resulting cylinder with the seam inside and put it on the parcel.
Step 4
Take a needle thread and sew a side seam. It should be located along the middle of the long side of the end face of the parcel. Remember to tuck the edges of the seam inward. Then fold the ends of the seam towards the middle. Sew the resulting triangles by hand so that their sides fit snugly against the side of the parcel.
Step 5
Turn the parcel over with the non-sewn part up, tamp it tightly in the package. Repeat the seam operation on the second end face, bending the edges of the center seam inward.
Step 6
On the front surface of the parcel, use indelible paste or a felt-tip pen to write the index and postal address to which you are sending the parcel, the last name, first name and patronymic of the recipient. Place this information in the center of the surface. Leave space in the lower left or upper right corner, in which indicate the name and initials of the sender of the parcel, the post office code and the address of the sender.
