Don't rush to throw away old car tires - you can make a lot of interesting things out of them. For example, to decorate a summer cottage, instead of expensive sculptures, try making a swan with your own hands.
It is necessary
- - old car tire;
- - wire or elastic iron bar;
- - screws, self-tapping screws;
- - red and white paint;
- - a sharp knife or jigsaw;
- - drill.
Instructions
Step 1
Mark the tire with chalk. It must be divided into two halves, mark the triangle of the head, wings. Along these lines, the tire must be cut with a knife or electric jigsaw.
Step 2
Turn the tire inside out. It is more convenient to do this together, but you can do it alone by stepping on the outer part of the tire. The result is an almost finished swan frame.
Step 3
Secure the swan's neck. In the tire, it is necessary to drill paired holes with a drill, then attach the neck with a thin wire to a curved piece of reinforcement or a rigid wire. After staining, the traces of fasteners will become almost invisible.
Step 4
To strengthen the neck, you can take an iron flexible plate, which is narrower and longer than the swan's neck. Make holes in it with a drill, give the strip the desired shape and attach it to the swan's neck.
Step 5
Paint the swan with white or black paint. Make the beak red; instead of eyes, you can use self-tapping screws. You can use acrylic, oil paint.
