Knitted sweaters and sweaters are in every woman's wardrobe. Handmade knitted dresses are much less common. Meanwhile, the execution of such a product is not much different from knitting a sweater, except that a little more yarn is required. The styles of such dresses are very diverse, you can start both from the bottom and from the top, and even from the sleeve or from the belt. One of the most popular ways is to make the dress in a circle from the collar.

Instructions
Step 1
Measure the circumference of the neck, the length of the product to the bottom and waist lines, and the length of the raglan. The last measurement is taken from the protrusion of the clavicle to the middle of the armpit. In any case, you will be trying on the product while knitting, so measurements are needed mainly to calculate the number of loops. Tie a stocking and elastic pattern. Calculate the number of neck loops.
Step 2
Cast on 5 knitting needles the desired number of loops. The collar can be knitted in the same way as the top of the sock, that is, by distributing the loops evenly over 4 knitting needles. But you can immediately divide the number of loops as required for the raglan, that is, 1/6 of the sleeves and 1/3 of the shelf and back. If the quantity is not evenly divisible by 6, add the remainder to the shelf or back. It depends on the type of figure. With normal and kinky, extra loops are added to the shelf, with a stoop - to the back.
Step 3
Tie a stand-up collar. The height of the elastic is 10-12cm, but it can be more or less, depending on the height and length of the neck. Switch to hosiery. In a circle, it is performed only with front loops.
Step 4
When knitting raglan, the addition lines go from the collarbone to the armpit. Add loops as follows. Knit a row of sleeves until there are 3 loops to the end of the knitting needle. Tie the third loop from the end with a purl, make a yarn over (straight or reverse). Knit the last two loops on this knitting needle. The part of the same row that goes along the shelf or back, start with a yarn, then knit 1 purl and then knit with the front to the penultimate loop. The last loop will be purl, and then the yarn follows. The second sleeve starts with knit 2, followed by a yarn and a purl. In this way, knit to the end of the row. Knit the next circle according to the picture. If you did straight yarns, knit them with the front one, reverse ones with the wrong side. Make additions through the row. When there are so many loops that they begin to slide off the short knitting needles, switch to knitting needles with fishing line.
Step 5
Tie the raglan to the bottom of the armhole. Remove the loops for the sleeves on the thread and tie it into a ring. Knit the shelf and back in a circle to the waist line.
Step 6
Calculate how many loops you need to add. It is best to divide the circle into 4 equal parts and add on the sides and in the middle of the front and back parts. If a straight skirt is assumed, the loops are added based on the difference between the waist and hip circumferences. For a flared skirt, you can divide the row into more parts - for example, 8 or even 12. Add loops evenly after 10-12 rows, one on both sides of each wedge. If you want a not very large flare, you can add through the first 10 rows on the sides of each even wedge, through the next - on the sides of each odd wedge. Tie the skirt to the desired length and close the loops.
Step 7
Distribute the stitches of the sleeve evenly over the 4 knitting needles. Knit in a circle to the elbow. Then you can do it in two ways. You can knit in a circle without decreasing to the beginning of the cuff, and then drastically reducing the number of loops. The sleeve will turn out to be soft and fluffy. This is preferred for thick, soft wool. You can begin to gradually decrease the loops from the elbow, knitting together 2 extreme ones from both ends of each knitting needle every 4 rows. You will get a tight-fitting sleeve. Knit the cuff with the same elastic as the collar.
Step 8
You can tie a belt to the dress. It is best to do this with a double rubber band. Cast on 8-10 stitches. Tie the first row with a 1x1 elastic band. Starting with the second, knit the front loop - front, and remove the wrong one, leaving the thread in front of the loop.
