It is necessary

  • In order to write a script, it is important:
  • - decide on the genre (comedy, psychological thriller, melodrama) and -
  • - to come up with an interesting plot that would "capture" the viewer and make him constantly follow the action until the last minute.

Instructions

Step 1

What are the important ingredients for a good story? Of course, the first thing to think about is the basic idea, morality if you will. The point of all the work done is for the viewer to understand what the author wanted to say with his film. It is better for the cinema to carry a good thought (“good will triumph,” “one must believe in the best,” “there is always a way out,” etc.).

Step 2

If we take a wide range of viewers (and not fans, for example, science fiction or horror films), then the plot, to one degree or another (depending on the genre), should include: 1. In the tie-in - the main "feature" of the film, the so-called "hook". For example: "What women want" - a fantastic opportunity of the main character Mel Gibson to hear women's thoughts; "Sanctum" - an ancient unexplored cave, fraught with danger, etc. 2. Love line, thread - if you are not writing a melodrama or a romantic movie, then sensual experiences, emotional characteristics of the hero will only add "liveliness" to his portrait; you can make the love side "the hero's weak point", solving some mystery at the end of the film. For example: "Armageddon" is a movie about saving mankind from an inevitable catastrophe, but the plot has two vivid lines of relationship - between a father and a daughter, and a secondary one - between daughter and her boyfriend. Ultimately, these love lines played a decisive role in the act of the protagonist, played by Bruce Willis. An element of mysticism, a riddle, a detective line - a mystery, something that will "tickle" the nerves of the viewer or excite his imagination. The script of a good film keeps the viewer from the beginning to the end of the demonstration, and the "mystery" - even if you are not writing a detective story - will add another bright color to your masterpiece. Example: "Eggs of Destiny" - a comedy based on the popular images of the project "Our Russia", however, the plot contains a mysterious object - the golden "eggs of fate", around which further action unfolds. Vivid portraits of heroes. It's important to create memorable, charismatic characters. The ideal option is to emphasize the personality of the hero with an internal conflict that will be resolved at the climax. For example, the hero will overcome the fear that originated in childhood, or, finally, he will make a choice that he did not in his favor for many years, etc. Example: "The color of the night" - the main character in the final battle with the enemy overcomes a long-standing fear - panic fear of drowning.

Step 3

At first, the structure of the plot of the script looks like this: 1. Connection, introduction 2. The central part, where the action will unfold and the main development of the plot will take place. 3. The final part is the culmination and resolution of the main conflict. In the finale of this part, the heroes draw conclusions or achieve their goal, triumph over evil. Here, the audience can expect a hint of a sequel (and the heroes, of course, are not aware of this yet). This basis should be gradually supplemented with details, expanded with subparagraphs. When, finally, the detail expands to the level of scenes and episodes, you can start working on the dialogues. In short, the work on the script includes the following stages of work: 1. Goal setting, working with ideas 2. Development of history, plot. 3. Elaboration of the structure 4. Character development 5. Filling the script 6. Editing.

Step 4

The name can appear at the very beginning of the work and go through all the stages, remaining unchanged. It can only be born at the end of the script. Such nuances are purely individual, but the name should reflect the main idea and, preferably, arouse curiosity. Have patience and faith in yourself - and you will definitely succeed!
