It is necessary

  • - printed drawing;
  • - alcohol or alcohol-containing solution;
  • - pencil on glass;
  • - contour paint;
  • - paint on glass.

Instructions

Step 1

It will be easier for beginner hand-makers to draw stained glass on a flat surface, but you can also create your own masterpiece on a mug. First of all, you need to choose the drawing that you want to transfer to the glass. It is better if there are two or three colors in the picture or ornament you have chosen, and there will be no small details.

Step 2

Clean the glass with warm water and soap and wipe it with an alcohol-based solution. You can also use regular rubbing alcohol. This will remove grease from the glass, which would prevent you from applying the paint evenly.

Step 3

If you are confident in your artistic ability, you can immediately redraw the drawing onto the surface you will be working on. If not, it is better to print the picture, cut the drawing along the contour, attach it to the glass and redraw it. It will also be convenient to redraw the drawing by placing the sketch under the glass and tracing the lines. An ordinary pencil in this situation will be useless, the drawing must be applied with a special pencil on glass (with a glass-recorder).

Step 4

After that, outline the lines with contour paint. You can choose outlines that will be the same color as the element itself, or you can specially take bright and contrasting colors - gold, silver, orange. Subsequently, the contour will help you decorate the stained-glass window more accurately - you will not crawl out with a brush to adjacent areas, and a bright outline will make your drawing more beautiful and saturated.

Step 5

Wait until the contour is completely dry, and only then proceed to the next stage. Please be patient, it may take you about a day.

Step 6

Apply the paint to the glass with gentle strokes. If you need a deeper and more intense color, do not take more paint on the brush, but apply it in several layers, waiting for the previous one to dry. Then let the product dry. Your decorated glass is ready!
