Instructions

Step 1

Start drawing a snail from its house. Its shape depends on the type of gastropod mollusk. Shells are conical in shape, and they are spirally curved. Remember that in all snails, the spiral of the shell unwinds from the center clockwise to the base. This rule applies to houses of all types - both spiral and conical. Please note that in the first type of snails, the shell is twisted in two directions - around itself and to the side. If you are drawing a snail in a natural environment, keep it proportional to other objects. For example, a grape snail reaches 4-5 centimeters.

Step 2

When the shell is ready, start drawing the body of the snail, it is also called the "leg". It protrudes from under the sink in both directions, but can easily fit inside. Reflect the fact that the surface of the body is covered with wrinkles, due to which it stretches, and the shellfish can move. The lower part of the foot is equipped with a sole that is smeared with mucus.

Step 3

In the front of the leg, the snail has a mouth opening. Draw two pairs of tentacles above the mouth opening. First, they are small, which form an obtuse angle with each other. Above them is another pair of longer tentacles, they are mobile and in the figure can be directed in different directions. Draw small clam eyes at the ends of the long tentacles.

Step 4

After the pencil sketch is ready, start coloring the drawing. For the sink, use colors of brown, yellow, white. The color of the snail and its house depends on the environment and the intensity of sunlight in the area where it lives. Also show in color that the shell has a ribbed structure, light and dark stripes alternate on it. The color of the clam's leg is not uniform, paint the wrinkles outlined on the body with color. The tentacles are lighter in color, make them translucent.
