Good fishing tackle is half the success of an angler. In addition to fishing rods and spinning rods, fishing nets have long established themselves as functional tackle. You can either order a network or buy it in a specialized store, or make it yourself. The latter option is more time consuming and more time consuming, but in the end you will get a high-quality network that will definitely meet all your requirements.
Instructions
Step 1
To weave the net, prepare ordinary sewing threads of different thicknesses and colors. You will also need factory twisted nylon threads and veins of different sections. The threads should not be untwisted so as not to spoil the shape of the mesh cells. The thinner and stronger the nylon threads that you choose, the neater and stronger the net will be. The threads should be well tolerated for a long time in water.
Step 2
You will also need special weaving accessories - a shuttle and a template. Make the shuttle from any dense material (wood, metal or plastic). If you will be knitting with fine threads, make a small shuttle 2 cm wide and 15-20 cm long. A stencil is a rectangular plank that adjusts the mesh size. It has a length of 10-15 cm, and the width of the plank should correspond to the width of the cells - 30, 40 or 50 mm.
Step 3
There are many kinds of network nodes, and the simplest one is the single node. Put a 10-20 m long nylon thread on a small hook and make a loop at the end of the thread. Tie the knot tightly.
Step 4
Drive a simple nail into any stationary surface, such as a wall. It should be at your eye level (if you are in a sitting position). Put the loop tied at the end of the thread over the nail and tie a knot.
Step 5
A loop will hang down on one side of the nail, and a nylon thread will descend on the other side, going to your shuttle. Take the shuttle in your right hand and hold a template board in your left hand. Place the thread leading to the hook from the nail onto the template, and then lower the hook behind the template so that the thread is bent over its trailing edge. Insert the tip of the hook into the loop from bottom to top and pull it through the loop.
Step 6
Pull the hook back towards you, gradually pulling the loop to the leading edge of the template. Thus, you will notice that the thread is woven three times on the template - from the top, from the bottom, and then again from the top from the loop to the shuttle. After the thread rests on the template for the third time, press down with your left thumb, creating a second loop around the template.
Step 7
Tie it to the first loop by throwing the thread coming from the template in a circular motion with your right hand from under the thumb to the first loop to the hook. The thread should lie in a semicircle from left to right. Lower the hook along the right edge of the first buttonhole, pass its tip from bottom to top between the left thread of the first buttonhole and the beginning of the second buttonhole.
Step 8
Pull out the hook and pull it back while holding the template with the fingers of your left hand. Pull the thread back until the thread that was previously thrown over the first loop comes out and until the knot is tightened between the thumb and forefinger of your left hand.
Step 9
Tighten the knot vigorously, then drop the second loop from left to right from the template and tie the third loop. Continue to knit the net, discarding each successive loop.
