Openwork summer sweaters will always attract attention. In the summer, such sweaters will be relevant, since they are made of natural materials and are, on the one hand, a very elegant work of art, and on the other, comfortable, practical clothes.
It is necessary
Knitting cotton threads (at least 5 different colors, 25 g each), white knitting thread (should be thinner than colored threads), crochet hook size "1", scissors, patterns according to your sizes: "front", "back", "sleeves" (can be made on fabric, you can use wallpaper paper), thick needle, sewing pins for fixing items of clothing
Instructions
Step 1
An openwork sweater can be knitted by connecting crocheted elements (flowers, leaves, stalks and other shapes). Thanks to such a loose connection, gaps remain between the elements, which create the effect of openwork clothing. This type of knitting is called Irish knitting. For this, elements are crocheted from colored threads. There can be many options for figures and depends on your imagination. The simplest type of shapes are circles and flowers. They do not require changing the direction of the knitting stroke - it is enough to knit the loops in a circle to the desired size of the element diameter.
Step 2
Having knitted several of these elements of the same size from colored threads, they can be connected. For a neat and even connection, the elements are laid out on the finished patterns with the wrong side. Having formed a certain motive from the elements, they are attached in this form with pins to the pattern itself. They are connected to each other with simple colored threads, by sewing them to each other with a needle.
Step 3
The gaps between the elements can be filled with an irregular mesh knitted from white threads of a thinner size than that of colored ones. To do this, you need to hook air loops in a chaotic manner between the elements, grabbing the edge of the element. In this way, you can fill in large voids and create an openwork effect.
After connecting all the elements with threads and a mesh, all parts of the pattern are connected. You can connect them either with a needle and thread, or crochet the edges of two parts (for example, sleeves and backs).
Instead of buttons, it is convenient to use knitted strings on both sides of the "front".
