Soldier of Fortune is a project that has become legendary for two reasons. First of all, it is a brilliant study of levels and a variety of tasks, which are still passed with great pleasure today. The second reason for "people's love" is an incredible level of realistic violence and a huge amount of blood in the frame. This is not the case in every game.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you have a licensed version of the game installed. By downloading a pirate rip from the Internet, you copy to yourself, among other things, a set of settings of the previous player, and, accordingly, a possible limitation on the level of cruelty. In addition, your version may be simply stripped down for the sake of a smaller volume.
Step 2
In Soldier of Fortune, brutality settings are activated from the game. Go to the "Options" menu and select "violence" there. The initial parameters are remembered, after which the player is prompted to set a password to change them. If the password is still requested, then try pressing Enter without entering anything (since this can only be a formal procedure). If for some reason you use the game settings downloaded from the Internet, then try standard combinations, such as a set of several units or "space": it works periodically.
Step 3
In order to reinstall the settings (if you forgot your password), you will have to completely uninstall the game: do it through the Add or Remove Programs menu item, and then delete the registry data. To do this, open the Start menu -> Run, enter regedit and in the explorer that appears, open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software directory. Make sure that there are no "tails" left from the game (folder with information about the game), or delete them otherwise. Only then proceed with the new installation.
Step 4
In Soldier of Fortune 2, the level of violence and password setting are determined during product installation. In this case, "manual" removal, as in the previous paragraph, is not required: you just need to uninstall the game and start the installation again.
Step 5
If for some reason the suggested tips do not help, look for a patch on the Internet to disable protection. It simply cuts out the password request from the game, giving you all the options to customize the settings.
