Crochet allows you to create interesting textured pieces. In order for the thing to be made in the same style, you can make both the main part of the model and the elastic band to it with one tool. Like all other patterns in this type of needlework, you need to crochet an elastic band using various combinations of loops and posts.
It is necessary
- Thick hook
- Light-colored thread of medium thickness
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a thick crochet hook and medium-thick threads of some light color for knitting the elastic pattern. So it is easier to knit than from thin threads, and the pattern of the elastic will be clearly visible.
Step 2
Tie an even number of air loops, an additional loop for symmetry and add a couple more extreme loops to the total. For example, you will get 4 + 1 + 2 = 7 chain stitches. Tie the first row with a single crochet.
Step 3
Knit further the so-called embossed elastic. To do this, the hook must enter from right to left into the body of the lower column, lifting it. Crochet this post, grab the thread in front. Pull out the first stitch of the elastic and make a regular double crochet. The result is a front embossed column.
Step 4
Proceed in the same way as for knitting the front column, but in a mirror image. The hook should go into the column of the previous row from left to right. As a result, you get a purl embossed column.
Step 5
Alternate purl and front columns as you like. For example, 1 facial, 1 purl or 2 facial, 2 purl. After tying a strip of elastic to the height you need, tie its edge with single crochets.
