Step 1
If you are using IE or Firefox browsers, you can record audio directly from them. To do this, install the Freecoder Toolbar plugin. Restart the browser and set the necessary settings in the toolbar that appears on the panel. In the field above (Storage Directory), specify the path to save the files. In the “MP_3 Audio Bitrate” window, select the bitrate size. Save by clicking "Save". Open your favorite internet radio station in your browser and click on the “Record Audio” button, recording will start. To stop recording the station, click Stop Recording.

You can also capture streaming audio using a media player. The AIMP2 player contains the necessary function for this. If this player is not already on your computer, install it and configure it.

In the upper left corner, select the wrench icon. On the left in the "Player" submenu, click on the "Streaming Audio" tab and specify the format of the source file. This media player supports MP3, WAV, OGG formats.

Then select a folder to save the recorded files, specify the title format and check the checkbox if you need splitting into files. To start recording a radio channel, activate the "Radio cap" button. Specify URL / radio in the field that will open after clicking on the "+" button in the lower right corner of the media player.

In addition to the media player, special programs provide the ability to record Internet radio. One of them is # 1 Screamer Radio. It is good in that it takes up little space, coping well with the tasks. Besides formats supported by AIMP2 media player, # 1SR supports WMA format. It is also convenient to have a built-in directory of radio stations.
Step 6
Once installed, launch Screamer Radio and open Settings. Select the "Recording" tab and in the upper field specify the path to save the folder where the recording files will be placed. In the next field (File pattern) select the file header format. In the (Maximum buffer size) field, set the buffer size. Add a link to the Internet radio channel on the Open URL tab in the File menu. To start recording, just click the corresponding button.
