Pointe shoes are ballet shoes named from the French word pointe. The first pointe shoes were worn by a ballerina in the 19th century. To this day, the shoes are used in classical choreography for beauty and fluidity of movement. The pointe device is gradually evolving, meeting the requirements of the modern foot of ballerinas. To make ballet shoes, a master needs experience and perseverance. And in order to put on ready-made pointe shoes, the ballerina needs to add some details.
It is necessary
Pointe shoes, ribbons 50 cm long, about 2.5 cm wide
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase pointe shoes from a specialty store. There are many models of ballerina shoes. If this is your first time buying them, check with professional dancers who have worn no pair of pointe shoes. If a manufacturer claims the high quality of its products, then their lineup will be developed taking into account different foot configurations. Over time, you will find a pattern that will fit your foot.
Step 2
Now the pointe shoes need to be personalized - i.e. fit to your foot. The finished ballerina's shoes are quite tough. Warm it up before sewing on the ribbons. Here again, everything depends on the manufacturer. In some, do in the place under the heel.
Step 3
Take the purchased ribbons. They should be in the color of pointe shoes, 50 cm long, about 2.5 cm wide. The ribbons are sewn from the inside to the hem in the place where you bent the heel. This place is considered the most optimal. The ribbons are sewn on tightly. If this is your first time sewing, sew a few stitches first and try on the shoes. If necessary, make adjustments and finally sew.
