Many people want to wear clothes that will emphasize their individuality, help to express their inner world. Of course, this is hard to find in stores. But if you can draw at least a little, then you can easily create unique things for yourself, simply by applying images on fabric.
It is necessary
- - acrylic paints,
- - plain clothes,
- - brushes,
- - thick paper or cardboard,
- - adhesive paper,
- - pins,
- - scotch tape,
- - the cloth,
- - iron.
Instructions
Step 1
First, decide on the paint. The choice of one or the other depends on how exactly you are going to paint. If you plan on stenciling, buy spray paint. This acrylic paint will lay on the fabric more evenly. If you are going to use a fabric as a canvas and create a masterpiece immediately on it, pay attention to paints in tubes and jars. You will also need brushes of various thicknesses and thinner, because the thickened paint will not allow you to draw fine, graceful lines.
Step 2
Find yourself a well-ventilated area. This advice is especially relevant for those who will paint from a spray can. Prepare yourself a flat, solid surface where you can easily spread the thing you have chosen as a canvas.
Step 3
It is better to put a piece of thick paper or even cardboard in the clothes under the place where the drawing will be, so that the paint does not leak and print on the back of the thing.
Step 4
If you are drawing from a stencil, it would be best to cut it out of adhesive paper. This way you can be sure that the stencil will not move and the pattern will not deform during the first layer of paint. If there is no adhesive paper at hand, try to secure the stencil tightly with pins and tape.
Step 5
If you are drawing by hand, draw the outline of your drawing with a simple pencil before you start covering your clothes with acrylics. Do not put paint in a thick layer - then you will wait a very long time for the picture to dry. Better to lay with light strokes in several layers.
Step 6
After you have completed your masterpiece, and it is completely dry, the drawing must be fixed. To do this, iron it with an iron, placing a sheet of paper or a piece of fabric between the picture and the sole of the iron. Now your unique clothes can be worn!
