In many cultures, the butterfly is considered a symbol of the human soul, where the transformation from a caterpillar into a beautiful insect is identified with the spiritual rebirth of a person. And in Slavic folklore, it was believed that butterflies are pure souls that bring happiness and joy with them. In order to draw this fluttering beauty, it is necessary to take into account several features, but everything will work out even for a novice artist.

It is necessary

  • - album sheet;
  • - a simple pencil;
  • - eraser;
  • - watercolors, colored pencils or felt-tip pens.

Instructions

Step 1

Construct a light sketch of the "skeleton" of the butterfly, for this draw a small and even circle, from which a straight vertical line departs. This sketch will show the head and future torso of the butterfly.

Step 2

Around the straight line, draw an even oval so that it is as wide as the head, on the top of which draw dark convex eyes. Gently erase the vertical stripe without touching the main drawing.

Step 3

From the body of the butterfly, draw two wings on each side, they can be of any shape, for example, triangular or oval. But keep in mind that the wings must be proportional and symmetrically displayed from the body of the insect. It is also best to stick to the same style and shape, i.e. if the wings are round, then it is better not to use the already triangular view.

Step 4

Draw the same patterns on the wings, and add thin and wriggling antennae to the butterfly's head. More clearly outline the contours of the finished drawing and start coloring. You can use the brightest colors that your heart desires, because a butterfly is a motley young lady. But when painting the wings, you need to adhere to the rule of symmetry, i.e. everything should be mirrored.
