Surely many people dream of relaxing after a working day and enjoying some unusual and interesting action - and such an action can be an exciting and simple game of billiards. During the game, you can simultaneously compete, communicate with the enemy and enjoy a good rest.
Instructions
Step 1
There are different types of billiards, but in all types the goal of the game is to have the most pocketed balls. In order to learn how to play billiards, you can visit any entertainment club or center that has billiard tables with hourly pay. To play, you need a good cue with an upper, pointed side and a lower, thick end. The tip of the cue, on which there is a leather pad, must be rubbed with chalk before the game, which prevents the cue from sliding on the ball.
Step 2
The billiard table is covered with cloth, and it is equipped with six holes - pockets, into which you need to drive balls. Balls, in turn, in different types of billiards have different sizes. If you are playing pool, 15 identical balls will be included in the game, as well as a smaller diameter ball that you will use to pocket the balls. Balls, depending on the type of game, differ in color, as well as the rules for hammering them. The easiest way to get started is to master the "Eight".
Step 3
Before hitting the ball with a cue, announce the number of the ball, as well as the number of the pocket in which you plan to hit it. If the ball goes into the pocket, you can hit the next ball, and if you miss, the opponent makes the next move.
Step 4
The next move must start from where the white cue-ball stopped. A total of 15 balls participate in the game, which are set by a pyramid, in the center of which there is a two-color eighth ball. When breaking a pyramid of balls, do not order a pocket - try to break the balls as wide as possible by pocketing a few balls, and then determine the order of the game.
Step 5
You can pocket all balls except the eighth. The balls are of different colors - some are solid and others are striped. If you have pocketed a solid ball, then in the next step you must also pock a solid ball, and the opponent gets the striped balls. Pop all balls of your color without touching the eighth ball.
Step 6
If you hit when hitting the eighth ball, it is considered a violation of the rules of the game, and you give the next move to your opponent. Also, when hitting, you must not touch the ball with your hand, you must not allow the ball to fall over the side of the table and you cannot pocket the cue ball. Having pocketed all the balls of your color group, you can go to the eighth ball by ordering a pocket for it. By pocketing the eighth ball, you win the game.
Step 7
In order to increase your chances of winning and learn how to play, it is not enough for you to just know the rules of the game - you also need to learn how to hold the cue correctly. The correctness and accuracy of your strikes depends on this. Grasp the wide part of the cue with your striking hand, pressing it with your thumb against the base of your middle and index fingers. Relax and flex your ring and pinky fingers. While grasping the cue, do not strain your hand.
Step 8
The cue should not slip and dangle in your hand, but you should not grip it too tightly. Determine the position at the table individually for yourself - each player chooses the most convenient stand for him personally. The main load in the rack should be transferred to the legs.
Step 9
Before each hitting the ball, rub the pad on the cues with chalk, and keep the striking hand close to the body of the cue, not touching your body.
