Warm knitted footprints can become a convenient analogue of house slippers in the winter season. Adults and children are happy to wear them at home, and it is very easy to knit footprints. To do this, you need knitting needles and yarn, and the knitting technique will be even simpler than knitting ordinary woolen socks.

Instructions

Step 1

Cast on an odd number of loops (their number depends on the size of the leg you are knitting on) and knit two rows with front loops with yarn of the same color, then change the yarn to another color and knit two more rows.

Step 2

In total, you need to knit six rows, so for the next two rows you can take the yarn of the third color, or knit all six rows in one color if the tracks should be of the same color.

Step 3

After that, knit one row with the front knit, in the next row, remove the loops and place the thread at work, then knit to the middle and knit nine loops from the central loop of the row: front loop, yarn, knit, yarn again, and thus alternate loops, until you get to the last one.

Step 4

Knit the back row, knitting the shell of the sock - knit the front loops, remove the loop that you did not knit, place the thread again before work and knit the shell with the front loops. After that, knit two rows again with simple knit stitch, and then knit a row, alternating one knit and one removed.

Step 5

When you reach the center loop, knit a nine-loop shell again. Repeat this action one or two more times so that the number of shells reaches the desired number.

Step 6

Knit ten new rows with front satin stitch - you can either take yarn of the same color, or alternate two rows of yarn of different colors.

Step 7

To knit the sole, follow the same steps as for knitting the heel of a plain woolen sock. First knit eight stitches of the sole along one side of the sock, and then knit the ninth stitch of the sole with the next stitch.

Step 8

Continue knitting the sole until you reach the end, and then knit the backing, grabbing the edge loop of the side as you knit the last loop. From the front side, knit it with the front knit, and from the wrong side - with the wrong side. Thread the working thread pieces inward using a crochet hook.
