With the help of special paints for glass, you can make amazingly beautiful things - paint glasses, vases, bottles, make stained-glass windows. But in art salons, such paints are very expensive. It makes no sense to buy them if you are just trying yourself at painting on glass, because it is not known how serious your hobby will become. You can make your own paints for a fraction of the cost.
It is necessary
- PVA emulsion;
- aniline dyes (those used to dye fabrics);
Instructions
Step 1
Buy PVA glue. Better to buy glue at a hardware store. In stationery stores, only small-volume containers are sold, and in construction stores you can buy cans of 0.5 liters and 1 liter each. If you intend to paint a surface with a large area (for example, a door), then it is better to get a large can.
Step 2
Buy aniline dyes. They are sold in household chemical stores or fabric stores. Aniline paints in various colors are sold in powder and can be easily diluted in hot water. Buy the colors you need for your future painting.
Step 3
Dissolve the aniline dyes in distilled water. Strain the solution. No lumps or any solid particles should remain in it.
Step 4
Mix the resulting solution with PVA glue to a state similar in density to sour cream. Add dye until you get the desired shade. It is best to check color on glass, as glass is transparent and paint does not look the same as on paper.
Step 5
Make the right amount of shades. Pour each paint into a separate mold. You can start painting!
