It is best to start learning how to draw on glass by working on a flat piece of glass. A bulky object such as a glass or glass requires more skill and preparation. The technique of drawing on glass is similar to that of watercolor.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw a life-size sketch of the future drawing on paper. It is not necessary to draw in color, but you need to imagine the big picture at least in your head. If you are not sure about the color matching, draw on paper in color.
Step 2
Clean the glass with solvent. Anything from White Spirit to nail polish remover will do. This is necessary to degrease the glass.
Step 3
Place the drawing under the glass and take the paint outline for the glass. You can also use the contour attachments, with their help you thin lines. Put your hands on a table or stand and, pressing on the tube, go along all the contours of the drawing, transferring from paper to glass. If you have no artistic experience, the lines will be uneven at first, the width will constantly wiggle. The tip of the tube can touch the glass or be a millimeter away from it, as you like.
Step 4
Remove the sketch and examine the drawing on the glass. Correct if you don't like something. The excess can be removed with the tip of a knife after drying. Add the desired elements by tracing the outline over the glass.
Step 5
After the final layer of the outline is completely dry, take a brush, palette, paints and water. Use a solvent to rinse the brush.
Step 6
The paint is applied to the glass in one even layer. The brush should not leave "dry" strokes, constantly fill your hair with paint. Constantly check the work for the light. There are often “holes” in the paint on the glass that need to be covered up.
Step 7
After the paint has completely dried, remove the glass into the frame.
