If you are a traveler by nature, then your home must have a steering wheel. You can buy this thing, ask for a gift, or you can do it yourself. This is a serious matter and requires special attention and accuracy, so the following tips will come in handy.

Instructions
Step 1
Make a steering wheel. Mark and cut a workpiece four centimeters thick and ten centimeters wide using the template. A total of eight parts are needed. Use pine for the steering wheel.
Step 2
Make a spike on a carpentry machine. Start assembling the steering wheel parts into a spike using PVA glue.
Mark out circles with a radius of 262 millimeters and 307 millimeters, saw out along the markings.
Step 3
Mark twelve through holes in the center and drill them. Carve out the handles according to the drawing, twelve pieces in total. Billet size 180x40x40mm. Next, carve twelve knitting needles. Follow the drawing to make a hub.
Step 4
Select a workpiece with dimensions 140x140x8 mm, mark O125 mm and cut out two hub washers according to the marking.
Begin assembling the steering wheel. Fix the handles and spokes in the holes of the steering wheel with PVA glue, fix the base of the spokes with a washer using glue and screws to the hub.
Step 5
Now it's time for the final finishing of the helm. For decoration, you can use brass or copper rivets, other metal finishing elements. Be sure to cover your steering wheel with impregnation (match the color of the old wood), cover the product with two or three coats of colorless varnish.
