Cuts and holes in clothes are a very unpleasant phenomenon, which often becomes the reason for the disposal of fairly new clothes. The only correct and economical way out of this situation is to learn how to beautifully, neatly sew up cuts on clothes.
Instructions
Step 1
If someone close to you or yourself (yourself) accidentally torn your favorite things, or when cutting a new wardrobe item, you accidentally cut the fabric in the wrong place, do not despair. Such consequences can be easily eliminated with a thread and a needle.
Step 2
If you have cut through your clothing and accidentally cut through the fabric, take a close look at the area to be sewn. Sew the cut only by hand: this will make the seam less noticeable.
Step 3
If the fabric is thick enough (for example, cotton, denim, "raincoat", etc.), then prepare the appropriate thread for sewing (preferably cotton). If the thickness of the fabric is thin (silk, chiffon, etc.), then the thread should be very thin.
Step 4
The color of the thread should be as close as possible to the color of the fabric. For example, if you accidentally cut a bright red fabric, then the thread should be bright red, not burgundy or reddish pink. Place the canvas (product) on the table surface. Switch on the table lamp as well: this way you can make the seam as low as possible.
Step 5
Insert the thread into the needle and start sewing the cut in the direction from the center of the cut (for example, if the hole is located in the upper right part of the "back", then you need to start sewing it from left to right, towards the main seams of the future product). Make the stitches as small as possible, but at the same time so that they firmly sew the two halves of the cut. Sew each subsequent stitch at a very small distance from the previous one.
Step 6
Sew the incision on thin fabric according to the procedure described above. The main principle when sewing cuts on clothes is to minimize stitches.
Step 7
If you accidentally cut the fabric of any product (jeans, trousers, blouses, etc.), use the same procedure. Consider carefully the choice of thread color and thickness.
