Prepare the pond for carp infestation. This type of fish is unpretentious and will survive in almost any conditions, however, it will not hurt to carry out some preparation. Do not leave the collected waste near the coast, it is best to collect it in a bag and take it away. After that, you should disinfect the water: about 200 grams of potassium permanganate should be enough to kill the worst infection in a small lake. After disinfection, it will take about five to ten days for the pond to gradually recover.
Step 2
If the pond is small, consider feeding. Like piglets, carps are omnivorous creatures, and what you will feed your living creatures depends on you. For example, the dug up earthworms and Colorado beetles in the garden are fine for your fish.
Step 3
Purchase carp from a friend or a specialist store. It is better to take several pairs and, in general, make a bias towards women, since one male will be able to fertilize several, however, no matter how many men there are in the fish school, the female cannot stand eggs more than the norm.
Step 4
Keep track of the development of new residents of your pond. If you see lethargy and inhibition in the movements of the fish, make sure that everything that they may need is given to them in full accordance with the norm. If you overdo it with the number of fish, and the reservoir is not large enough to accommodate everyone, this can lead to negative consequences. For example, carps will start crushing themselves.
