An all-terrain vehicle can be understood as various means of transportation. These are SUVs, which are familiar to us, and tractors, and snowmobiles, and even tanks. You can make an all-terrain vehicle yourself, or rather, transform an ordinary motorcycle or scooter into a reliable friend who is not afraid of dirt or off-road conditions. The trick of such a vehicle is its shoes, that is, the track links that are attached to it.
Instructions
Step 1
The caterpillar is 4 stripes 5.5 centimeters wide. Cut the strips out of the conveyor belt and join together with steel U-profiles. Make balancers for the intermediate track supports. Using a punch, cut out the wheel halves of the discs from the round steel sheets. Then grind the bronze hubs. Connect the cut-out disc halves with 6 bolts. The balancers are ready.
Step 2
Grind the front and rear track support drums from the steel bar. Make bearing holes at each end. Insert the bearings into them. Make track support drums from duralumin blanks, then fasten them with bolts. Insert rubber sprockets between the drums when fastening. Thus, the track begins to rotate from the chain drive of the drive sprocket, which is installed in place of the wheel. The drive sprocket is mounted to the rear fork with a spacer sleeve.
Step 3
Collect all the track parts into one link. Bolt the housing covers to the housing. Weld a steel sleeve to the vertical tubular arch, through the hole of which the axle of the removed wheel passes. The eyelet in front of this bushing is intended for attaching a special assembly that fixes the entire structure to the rear fork of the all-terrain vehicle. Weld two of the same lugs under the longitudinal pipes and connect the manufactured track balancers. The track for the all-terrain vehicle is ready.
