This weightless lace half mask easily turns any girl into a party rockstar. Mystery is always attractive and such an accessory will be appropriate both at a carnival or a costume party, as well as during a romantic dinner. It is very simple to make an openwork mask with your own hands, and there is always a reason to put it on and spend an unusual evening.
It is necessary
- - tulle
- - scissors
- - contour for fabric
- - silk ribbon (40 cm), rhinestones, feathers on request
- - cling film, scotch tape, fabric glue
- - mask template
Instructions
Step 1
Draw a life-size mask template on a piece of white paper, or print a ready-made drawing from the Internet. Lay the patterned sheet on a flat, stable surface, cover with cling film or plastic and tape at the corners.
Step 2
Cover the template with a piece of tulle on top, stretch the fabric to remove creases and wrinkles, then secure with duct tape on the sides.
Step 3
Remove the cap from the tube of contour paint and start tracing the drawing. Start from the left edge of the template if you are right-handed and vice versa if you are left-handed. Take your time, draw the pattern with short strokes, try not to allow gaps. Do not squeeze out a lot of the contour at once - excess and drips cannot be removed and you will have to redo everything.
Step 4
Leave the mask to dry completely for 24 hours on a flat surface.
Step 5
Remove the tape and carefully separate the tulle from the film. Use sharp scissors to cut the mask along the outline. Don't forget the eye holes.
Step 6
Measure two 20cm pieces from the satin ribbon. Work the edges over a lighter or candle flame. Glue the strings around the edges of the mask with textile glue or supermoment. Let the glue dry completely
Step 7
Decorate the mask with fringes, rhinestones, feathers or stones as desired.
