Step 1
Make a pattern for a hat for a bath, for this, measure the head circumference of the person for whom you are sewing a hat with a tailor's meter. The width of the wedge is calculated - divide the head circumference by four and add one centimeter, the height of the wedge - divide the head circumference by four and add two or more centimeters, depending on how high the hat you want to sew. Draw a sizeable isosceles triangle on paper and round its edges.
Step 2
Cut out your paper pattern. In order to be able to use it several times and for ease of delineation, glue it to cardboard. If you are sewing a hat with a brim or a visor, draw them on the pattern - the fields will be on all four wedges, and the visor, consisting of two parts, on two. Place the pattern on the felt and trace with a pencil. Cut out four pieces of the felt hat.
Step 3
If you took a thick felt, then sewing the wedges to each other can be seam to seam with bright threads. If you are using thinner felt, sew them with a decorative seam from the front side. Felt material is dense, not free-flowing and decorative seams made with contrasting threads look very organic on it.
Step 4
Sew a strip of felt or a beautiful lace into the top of the hat so that your product can be hung on a hanger in the bath. Sew a beautiful ribbon or braid along the edge of the fields of the hat, you can also make a simple flower for decoration from it. Make an applique with colorful pieces of felt or embroider an ornament.
Step 5
If you are sewing a hat for a man, then embroider his name or a compliment. If the hat is intended for the fair sex, then decorate with flowers, embroider with beads or sequins. But don't overload the product with a lot of decorative elements - it is intended to protect hair and scalp, not to showcase fashion.
