Fishing is one of the most common hobbies. However, before the fish was caught not only for pleasure and relaxation, but for food. And if you want to fish like our ancestors - with the help of networks, then this information is for you.

It is necessary

  • - license for fishing with nets
  • - good fish pond
  • - boat (in some cases)
  • - rubberized suit (in some cases)
  • - networks

Instructions

Step 1

Networks are one of the oldest inventions of mankind. Due to the species diversity of fish, there are many types of nets, as well as ways to set them. Nets can be located at the bottom (bottom), at a depth in the water column and near the surface, along or at an angle to the bottom line. Nets can be anchored (such nets are called fixed nets), and another type of nets is smooth, drifting with the flow. The first step is to choose the type of networks.

Step 2

The second step - we need to decide what kind of network we need to install. To do this, we need to decide:

- what kind of fish we want to catch;

- what size will be the reservoir in which we plan to install the network;

- what depth will be at the location of the network;

- to determine the relief of the bottom of the reservoir.

Step 3

Then we determine the characteristics of the network: length, height, mesh size, thread diameter. Length and height are understandable values. But the size of the mesh depends on the fish that is in this reservoir. Fine-meshed nets (this includes nets with a mesh of less than 20 mm) are used for catching small valuable fish, or for catching a large amount of live bait.

The most common mesh in Russia is 27-32 mm. Most often, such nets come across perch, roach, sometimes even small pike. If the mesh is of medium size, then crucian carp and podleschik will be hunted.

Well, for big fish you need a coarse mesh, with a pitch of 120-140 mm.

Step 4

Typically, nets are installed from boats, boats and other watercraft. You can put nets as one (first rowing, then straightens the tackle), and together (one on the oars, the second directly puts the net).

If the reservoir you came to fish on is small, then you can try to put the net in a wandering place. However, in this case, you will need additional equipment in the form of high wading boots (waders), or a rubberized overalls suit.

You can put the network alone. Carefully lay out the net on the bank, fix one end of the net on the bank, and tie a heavy load to the other end. Then the load is thrown into the reservoir, pulling the net behind it. The method is not entirely convenient and unreliable, the upper and lower cords can easily overlap, and you will have to take out the net and repeat all over again, scaring the fish with a splash of the load.

The methods of setting the net are listed, choose the one you need - and go fishing.

Step 5

Before you go fishing with nets, please check the Fishing Regulations for your region for the article on net fishing.
