Find out for yourself for what purpose the instrument is purchased: will you play only at home and with friends, or will the guitar be used to play in a musical group from the stage. In the former case, opt for an acoustic guitar, in the latter case, opt for an electric guitar.

When choosing an acoustic guitar, decide what kind of music you will play. A guitar with nylon strings is suitable for playing classical pieces. An instrument with metal strings is preferable for fans of popular, courtyard and tourist melodies.

Please note that when buying a guitar with nylon strings, you cannot replace them with metal strings on this instrument, since plastic tuning pegs will not withstand such a load. The clear advantage of nylon is its "softness". This means that the strings are easier to press against the fretboard, which is especially important in the early stages of learning.

If you plan to use the guitar primarily as an accompaniment instrument, choose the instrument with the largest spacing between the strings, if solo - then with a small distance between them.

Purchase the tool exclusively from those copies that are available in the store in stock. The purchase option for an order is not suitable for a beginner.

Listen to your chosen pattern by sliding over the strings with light pressure. Appreciate the sound. In most cases, acoustic guitars have a glued-in rear threshold that does not allow adjustments, so the instrument must be in tune already in the store. Check it out for yourself or entrust it to the seller.
Step 7
Pay attention to the evenness of the neck by looking closely at the guitar. Excessive bending is unacceptable. You can try to fix it by rotating the truss screw inside the neck. If this does not help, refuse to purchase this tool.
Step 8
Examine the guitar for scratches, chips and cracks. It should be noted that the thicker the layer of varnish, the better the sound of the instrument. If you find a defect, it is better to look at another tool. After choosing a guitar, select a case for it.
