Board games are great for spending evenings with your family or in a friendly company. One of the most famous and popular games is "Monopoly", because it is simple and interesting for both children and adults. There is a way to make it even more interesting: to make your own "Monopoly" with an original playing field and banknotes.
Instructions
Step 1
First, make the playing field. To do this, it is best to take a dense and high-quality sheet of cardboard or whatman paper, which will withstand more than a dozen batches. Draw a closed playing field, and then decorate the middle of the sheet of your choice to make the board game even more interesting and original. The size of the field, its shape and the number of cells also depend only on you.
Step 2
Think about how challenging the playing field will be in your Monopoly. It may not be a square, but a more complex figure that includes several intersecting paths with arrows indicating which road the player should take. The sophisticated version of the game may appeal to experienced players who are tired of the standard square field, but for beginners it may seem too difficult.
Step 3
Decide whether the playing field will be static or dynamic. The first option assumes that various designations will be applied to the cells of the playing field. The second option involves making the designation cards and placing them on the field at the start of each game. The dynamic playing field makes the game more interesting, as the position of the cards will change with each game. By the way, you can also invent a couple of special cards not included in the standard Monopoly set.
Step 4
Select bills. You can make them yourself from paper, cardboard and other materials, and you can also take small coins. The easiest, but not the best, option is to keep score on a piece of paper. However, this will somewhat reduce interest in the game, so this option is only suitable as a temporary measure. Don't forget the figurines: let each player make or choose them for himself.
Step 5
You can also amend the rules by discussing them with other players. The amendments can be both simplifying and complicating, depending on the experience of each player. New rules should be written down so that during the game there are no disputes and disagreements.
