A real toy helicopter is not only the dream of any child, but also of many adults. A rare adult will refuse to launch a helicopter made with his own hands into the air, especially if the manufacture of such a toy does not require special knowledge and does not take too much time and effort from you.

It is necessary

  • - thick cardboard / hard veneer;
  • - a piece of wood;
  • - lathe;
  • - rubber ring;
  • - wire;
  • - wheels;
  • - nut.

Instructions

Step 1

The helicopter, which you can make by hand, is launched into the air using a rubber shock absorber catapult, which throws the toy up tens of meters. The helicopter descends to the ground smoothly and continuously, and at the same time is characterized by increased strength. First, make the parts of the helicopter - the fuselage, tail boom and keel - from thick cardboard or hard veneer.

Step 2

At the front of the fuselage, make cutouts to fix the rotor strut in different positions. Turn this stand separately from hardwood using a lathe. You will also need a small rubber ring to hold the rotor strut vertically during flight.

Step 3

On the front chassis, attach the wire feet to the rotor strut and place the wheels on the tips of the feet. Install a pin over the rotor, the end of which bend with a hook. Subsequently, when starting this hook, you will hook a rubber catapult starter.

Step 4

Separately make a rotor hub with a washer to allow the rotor to rotate on the stud. Make two identical loops on the hub, and then attach the propeller blades made of wood veneer to each of them.

Step 5

Use rubber rings to secure the blade hooks to the washer to keep the blades horizontal. Then take a small threaded rod, screw a nut onto it and install it as a counterweight in the lower fuselage.

Step 6

Tighten the nut at the desired height, and then try to launch the helicopter by stretching the elastic band and securing it to the rotor hook.
