Finding the perfect hobby can take a long time, as it almost always involves trial and error. There are two more or less effective ways to speed up the search for a suitable occupation.
Instructions
Step 1
The first method is suitable for people who have repeatedly thought about what kind of occupation suits them best, but could not decide. Learn a new hobby every month or every week, depending on your passion and employment. Do not think about the choice for too long, in general it is better to act "by typing". Don't be afraid to even do something exotic, it is quite possible that making mechanisms in the style of steampunk or riding a unicycle is perfect for you.
Step 2
The essence of this method is to engage in the chosen hobby for a short period of time, without leaving aside previously tried hobbies. A new hobby should keep you busy enough, for a specified period of time you should learn to maintain at least a general conversation on a chosen topic. If at the end of the "test" period you can answer in the affirmative to the question: "Do you want to do this in the future?", Then you have found your ideal hobby. If the answer is no, keep looking. For a year in this mode, you can try an impressive number of different hobbies, which, most likely, will allow you to pick up something worthwhile. The time spent on the search will not be wasted, the knowledge that you acquire in the process, albeit superficial, will develop your erudition, broaden your horizons and make you a more interesting interlocutor.
Step 3
The second way is more solid and contemplative. You need to imagine your whole life in the form of some kind of structure, it can be a house, a sphere, a segment, in other words, whatever. You must find connections between your past, present and future, very clearly imagine goals, dreams, hopes. The picture in front of the inner eye must be very clear and complete. This is when you will be able to see what exactly is missing in the design you submitted.
Step 4
This method allows you to narrow your search for a hobby to a specific area. If, for example, you see that in your life there is not enough extreme, adrenaline, nerves to make an imaginary structure more complete, try to do some kind of sports. Once you've identified your hobby, you can turn to the first method by looking at more specific options.
Step 5
Most often, when visualizing your life as a kind of complete phenomenon, you can see exactly what you need to do in order to achieve some real goals. In this case, such an activity can be viewed as a useful hobby. It could be learning about the psychology of family relationships to help you make connections between your clan members, or simply learning about cooking. The main thing to remember is that a hobby should not replace your real life or replace your true values.
