Thick knits are especially elegant when several types of knitting are organically combined. You can make a spectacular pattern even without yarn overs or using additional knitting needles. One of these patterns is tangled. Like the elastic, it consists only of front and back loops. Embroidery or appliqué on the background of such knitting looks very expressive. There is one more important advantage. The tangle looks good on any yarn, except for mottled yarn.
It is necessary
- - yarn of medium thickness;
- - knitting needles number 2 or 2, 5.
Instructions
Step 1
For a pattern, cast an even number of stitches on straight or circular needles. For the finished product, the number of loops can be any, but you need to see how this pattern is obtained. Do not forget that edge loops are not included in the description of the pattern.
Step 2
Pull out one knitting needle and knit the first row. Turn the work over, remove the hem and knit a row with an elastic band, alternating 1 front and 1 purl. Loops should be regular, not crossed. In principle, you can also tie a knit with crossed facial ones, but this will be a slightly different pattern.
Step 3
In the third row, remove the hem and knit according to the pattern, there will be a front loop above the front loop, and a purl one above the back loop. To make the drawing even, make the front loops a little freer than the wrong ones.
Step 4
Start the fourth row with a purl loop, after removing the hem. Then knit, and to the end of the row, alternate the loops in the same way as you did in the previous rows. You will get the purl loop over the front loop and vice versa. Knit the fifth row again according to the pattern, strictly observing the alternation of loops.
Step 5
Knit the sixth row in the same way as the second, starting with the front one. Thus, you will get that the order of the loops changes every two rows. This should be taken into account especially carefully if you are going to use circular knitting needles. It is necessary to mark the end of the circle with a knot of a different color in order to start the transition in time.
Step 6
Having mastered the 1x1 mess, try to knit a more complex one - for example, 2x2. Cast on in the usual way and knit one row. In the next row, alternate knit 2 and purl 2. Knit the third row according to the picture. Start the fourth row with two purls, and knit the fifth according to the pattern.
