Even from a simple plastic bucket, you can make a very necessary and useful thing for the house - an ottoman. I suggest you take some time and make this amazing craft that will be a great addition to any interior!
It is necessary
- - plastic bucket;
- - glue gun;
- - thick jute rope;
- - construction stapler;
- - scissors;
- - large round button;
- - Velcro tape;
- - the cloth;
- - new microfiber cloths.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, prepare a plastic bucket. Wash off any dirt from its surface and remove the handle, if present. Having installed the dry bucket upside down, start gluing it over the side. To do this, apply hot glue to a small section of the jute rope, then press it firmly against the surface of the object to be pasted. Once the bucket grabs onto the rope, glue the next section with glue and glue it back on. Do these steps to the very bottom of the pouf. If the plastic bucket had a protrusion in the area of the handle, then screw it twice. At the end of this procedure, fix the edges of the rope with glue.
Step 2
While the ottoman dries up, it's time to make a soft seat for it. To do this, place a bucket glued with a rope on the corrugated cardboard and circle it. Attach the cut template to a fairly thick fabric and cut out a circle from it, the diameter of which is 10 centimeters larger than the corrugated cardboard circle. Iron the fabric blank well.
Step 3
Make a center hole in the cardboard, and then attach the cut fabric to it. The centers of the corrugated board and the cloth circle must match. Fasten these blanks together using a large round button.
Step 4
Roll the microfiber cloth into a tube and wrap the base of the button with it. To prevent the future seat of the ottoman from getting lost, fix this fabric with hot glue. Do the same with the rest of the rags.
Step 5
Cover the glued microfiber cloths with a cloth. After straightening it well, tuck the edges of the fabric onto the inside of the seat and secure them with a construction stapler. Do this carefully, otherwise the seat will be wrinkled. Agree that folds will significantly spoil the appearance of the ottoman.
Step 6
From the fabric of the exact same color as the seat, cut out a circle that is the same diameter as the cardboard base and glue it on. Thus, you hide corrugated cardboard from your eyes.
Step 7
Using the Velcro tape, cut two pieces from it that will be equal to the radius of the ottoman seat. Glue the soft part of the Velcro to the bucket crosswise, and the bristle part to the bottom of the cardboard base. It remains only to connect everything. The ottoman from a plastic bucket is ready!
