Almost every family before the New Year installs a Christmas tree in their home and decorates it. Someone installs artificial green beauties, and someone - exclusively live trees. The choice of the latter is not surprising, because nothing can compare with the divine spruce scent.

It is necessary

  • - water;
  • - sand;
  • - cotton fabric;
  • - bucket;
  • - sugar;
  • - salt;
  • - aspirin.

Instructions

Step 1

The scent of the Christmas tree is especially felt the first couple of days after the installation of the tree, then every day the smell gradually decreases. In order for the spruce to exude its aroma for a long time, it is necessary to prevent the green beauty from completely drying out. To do this, you can install it in a bucket of sand (it should be noted that this option is appropriate when installing a tree no more than one and a half meters high).

Chop off the lower branches of the spruce so that the trunk is 25-30 centimeters bare, then place the tree in a bucket, fill the container with sand and pour a little water (you need the sand to be wet). Place a bucket of spruce in the right place in the apartment, however, it is better to choose a cooler room. If everything is done correctly, then the tree will exude an aroma for a week, as if it had just been brought into the house from the cold.

Step 2

If you are installing a spruce tree with a height higher than 1.5 meters in the house, then in this case it is better to use a special holder for installation. The following will help to preserve the aroma of the spruce for a long time: after installing the spruce in a liter of water, dilute an aspirin tablet, a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt, take a cotton cloth, soak it in prepared water, then wrap it around the base of the spruce (along with the holder). Repeat the procedure every morning and evening. If the apartment is hot and the air is extremely dry, then repeat the procedure more often.

Step 3

If the above two options do not suit you, but you want to ensure that the spruce aroma does not disappear, spray the spruce with warm water from a spray bottle every day. For a stronger aroma, you can add a little spruce or pine essential oil to the water.
