The first lure for fishing was made by Zhdulio T. Buil from New York in 1860. He simply sawed off the handle of a teaspoon and made two holes in it for the tee and line. Through a simple undertaking, the American managed to catch a pike. Today you can also make your own fishing spinner.
Instructions
Step 1
So, first, choose a piece of metal, preferably an elongated shape, that perfectly reflects light. The metal must be heavy in order not to float. In addition, it must provide the ability to move erratically to lure predatory fish onto the hook. Copper and its alloys, such as brass or bronze, are the most suitable of the water-resistant metals that shimmer in the light. Stainless steel, lead, tin and aluminum are also suitable options. However, silver is rightfully considered the leader among shiny metals.
Step 2
You can choose any other metal alloys and use special coatings, paints or stickers that can add shine.
Step 3
Cut an oval in the shape of a fish from the prepared piece of metal. You can make a diamond-shaped plate. Make a hole for the line at one of the narrow edges of the finished piece.
Step 4
Peel back one of the edges of the workpiece so that the spoon gains the ability to provide difficult games in the water. You can evenly curve the entire plate with a wave so that the points of its surface are in different planes.
Step 5
Cover the workpiece with a layer of solder on one side, as a result, the spoon will become heavier. In addition, a hook is attached with it.
Step 6
Grind the other side of the future spoon along with the hook. For soldering, sand the surface of the workpiece with sandpaper and use soldering acid. Alternatively, you can use aspirin dissolved in water. During soldering, carefully fasten all parts to ensure a clear location in the end.
Step 7
According to another option for making a spoon, you can independently cast a blank of the required shape, for example, from lead. Or, carve the base of the spoon from a piece of metal.
Step 8
Next, drill a hole in the turned or cast blank, where you attach the hook using a special ring.
