Many of us believe that in order to choose a good pair of binoculars, it is enough to find a model with the most suitable "magnification" and a relatively low price. In fact, choosing this optical device is a serious and rather difficult task.

First of all, decide for what purpose you need binoculars. If you are a tourist lover, give preference to a model with a rubberized shockproof housing, which has a maximum magnification (10x) and good aperture. For hunters, the ideal option is small rubberized binoculars with medium magnification and a lens diameter of 25-40 mm. Anglers and boaters should opt for sealed waterproof binoculars. If you decide to do astronomy and stargazing, give preference to the device with the maximum magnification and aperture ratio. Make sure your chosen model has a tripod adapter.

When choosing binoculars, pay special attention to the material of which the case is made. Most of the devices are made of aluminum, magnesium, fiberglass, various types of plastics. Plastic appliances are very easy to use due to their low weight. But the best quality and durable binoculars are considered, the body of which is made of light alloys of metals (aluminum, magnesium).
Step 3
Take a very careful look at the condition of the case of the binoculars you like. Check that it is not deformed, and that the paint is on it in an even, neat layer. Pay special attention to the objective lenses. Make sure they are free of corrosion, scratches or nicks. See if their enlightenment is broken. Check that there is no debris or foreign particles in the lens glass.

Don't forget to check the optical quality of the binoculars you like. To do this, gradually move the device away from your eyes at a distance of 10 cm. The picture should remain undistorted, clear and natural.

Check out all the documents and certificates confirming the quality of your chosen binoculars. The seller of the device must provide them to you at your first request.
