Fishermen often use live fish (live bait) to catch predatory fish instead of metal, rubber and plastic baits. You can put live bait on a hook in several ways.
It is necessary
- - hook (tee, double or single);
- - live bait.
Instructions
Step 1
To catch pike or perch in calm water, plant a live bait like this: skip one sting of the tee under the dorsal fin of the fish. In this case, the hook is positioned vertically. This method of holding live bait allows it to actively move in calm water without a current, attracting predators. To prevent the fish from getting off the hook, fix the sting with a rubber bead.
Step 2
If you fish on rivers with little currents, it is ideal to use live bait on the upper jaw. Insert the sting of the hook into the fish's mouth and out through the nostril. If the river bottom is uneven, use a single hook instead of a tee or double to avoid snagging. This method is suitable for bottom fishing for pikes and other predatory fish.
Step 3
If the current of the river is very strong and there is a risk of the fish coming off the hook, use the following method of attaching live bait to the hook. Pass the leash through your mouth and out into the gill opening. Tie a doppelganger, then stick one hook under the dorsal fin, let the other be free.
Step 4
With long-distance casting of bait with a spinning rod, the fish must be firmly fixed, therefore, this method of bait baiting is used. The leash is passed through the mouth and gills, the hook is stuck under the dorsal fin. Then they make a loop of fishing line and fix the bait under the gills. Two more tees are tied to the loop on the sides.
