The decoration of any shawl is not only the drawing itself, but also decorative elements, namely brushes or fringes. There are many ways to decorate a soft, cozy product, thanks to which the shawl looks original, pleases its owner and attracts the attention of others.
It is necessary
- - yarn;
- - hook;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
In processing, the upper part of the shawl may differ slightly from the design of the side parts. It is also permissible to decorate the edge of the shawl in a uniform way along the entire perimeter. It all depends on the main pattern, as well as the imagination of the needlewoman. Each person chooses the number of rows independently, based on the texture of the yarn, pattern and overall appearance.
Step 2
Brushes. Tie the shawl around the top edge with a simple column of 1-3 rows. Then start processing the side parts and tie them first with a simple column, and then with a double crochet. Make presets for the brushes. To do this, wind the yarn on the long side of any book with a dense crust, then cut it on both sides, as a result of which you get pieces of thread - blanks. Collect from them bundles of 3-5 pieces (depending on the preferred volume of the future brush) and fold each of them in half. Take the hook, insert it into the hole in the edge of the shawl (they will be between the double crochets), grab the bundle of threads by the middle and pass the ends of the brush into the loop formed. They can be done in 3-5 columns. After finishing the side parts completely, lay the product on a flat surface, comb the brushes with a comb with rare teeth (you can massage) and carefully trim the edges with sharp scissors.
Step 3
Pattern. Patterns that serve both as a continuation and an element of decor (instead of brushes or fringes) look no less beautiful on the shawl. Tie the product around the perimeter with a simple post, starting at the top. In order for the resulting pattern not to lose its sharp corners at the edges, at the beginning of each row, first knit 6 air loops, 1 simple column in the same loop from where the air loops originate. Then continue the design of the side parts according to the pattern according to the scheme: * 5 air loops, 1 simple column through 3 loops of the previous row *. Work up to 10 rows, keeping in mind that each time a simple stitch is tied in the middle of the chain of the previous row.
Step 4
Scallop. Tie the edges of the shawl around the entire perimeter with a simple column in the amount of 1-3 rows, and along the side parts, make scallops, which are decorative elements in the form of an arc. Knit them according to the pattern: * 6 air loops, 1 simple column through 5 loops of the previous row *. In the next row, tie a chain of air loops with 10 double crochets, then perform a simple column (in the column of the first row). Make the teeth of the resulting scallops through 1 loop of the second row according to the scheme: * 1 simple column, 3 air loops, 1 simple column in the same loop *.
