Traditionally, it is customary to spend the evening of Christmas in a family circle, gathering both young and old at one table. But even a family holiday dinner can be made fun and joyful if you deviate a little from the standard option and bring your own flavor to the Christmas evening. And it would be nice to spend the pre-Christmas night in the magical atmosphere of the future holiday.
Instructions
Step 1
Before guests come to you, walk along the evening streets of the city, go to a cafe or a shopping center, where it is very noisy and fun at such a time. At the same time, you can buy gifts or something for a festive dinner. Be sure to check out the city Christmas tree, help frolicking kids make a snowman, or even play snowballs with them.
Step 2
In some nightclubs, themed parties with original show programs and competitions are organized on the pre-holiday evening. Find out all the details of the event by phone and book a table in advance. Choose an outfit that matches the theme of the party and head to the club for the night.
Step 3
If you have children, learn a couple of carols and visit your acquaintances, friends, or relatives. Wish them happiness, and let the children sing a Christmas song - they will receive not only pleasure, but also sweets.
Step 4
Try to open the curtain of the future - to tell fortunes. Moreover, it was during this period, according to beliefs, that fortune-telling most often came true. For example, tell fortunes with wax. To do this, melt a little wax in a mug, and then pour milk into a saucer. Put the saucer on the threshold of a house or apartment, saying at the same time: "My master, brownie, come under my doorstep to eat wax, drink milk." On the last word, pour the wax into the milk. Now look at the shape he has formed and try to interpret. For example, a cross means failure in financial or love affairs, the figure of an animal speaks of the appearance of an enemy or rival, strips of wax promise long journeys and travels, stars for success and good luck in all matters.
Step 5
Make a home altar, which has been customary in every home for a long time. It is built only at sunset. The owner of the family (a man) solemnly brings into the house a small sheaf of rye, wheat or oats, puts it in the place under the icons and greets the hostess as if he is seeing her for the first time. After that, the man should wish all household members wealth, health and a cheerful celebration. Now you can have a dinner together.
