"Parasites" is an action-packed South Korean tragicomedy. The director of the film is Bong Joon Ho. The film stars Song Kang-ho, Lee Sung Kyun, Cho Ye-jung, Jang Hye-jin and other actors. This is a comedy about how resourceful crooks take advantage of the generosity and gullibility of their employers. The film was filmed from May to September 2018. It was released worldwide on May 21, 2019, and Russian viewers will only be able to see the premiere on July 4.
At the Cannes Film Festival, director Bong Joon-ho received the Palme d'Or for "Parasites". Immediately after the premiere, the audience gave the film a thunderous ovation, which lasted 15 minutes.
Plot of the film
The film "Parasites" has a very interesting and exciting plot. A man named Ki-taek, his wife, twenty-year-old son and daughter live very poorly. They are forced to huddle in a semi-basement room, on the floor of which rats run. All four do not work, but occasionally make a living gluing pizza boxes together.
Once in their fate, cardinal changes took place. A friend of his son, leaving abroad, invited his friend to be a tutor, to study English with a schoolgirl. The guy does not have the appropriate education and knowledge, but he went for a trick and forged a diploma. A wealthy family of four made the new tutor warm. The businessman Pak turned out to be a very gullible person. Gradually Ki-taek and his entire family moved to the mansion of Pak, who owns luxury real estate. They cunningly survived the previous maintenance staff. These people hid their kinship. Ki-taek worked as a driver for a businessman, his wife became a housekeeper, his son became an English teacher, and his daughter began to engage in art therapy with the youngest child.
There are a lot of funny moments in the film, but in the end the comedy turns into a drama with stabbing and bloody showdown. The idea of the director, which he wanted to convey to the viewer, in this case is obvious: you cannot build happiness on someone else's misfortune.

After the world premiere of the film, viewers and critics managed to compose reviews of "Parasites". The motion pictures were given the highest marks. Director Bong Joon Ho did his job very professionally. This man also wrote the script for the comedy. The director easily manipulates mood changes as a result of dashing plot twists, as well as the viewer's sympathy. The film stars his favorite actor Song Kang Ho, with whom Bong Joon Ho has worked on more than one occasion. Parasite's budget is very modest. During the shooting, no special effects, expensive computer graphics and various new technologies were used. Almost all the action takes place in one house. At the same time, the creators managed to make an excellent black comedy, which has every chance of becoming a real hit.
Jun Ho's new creation is a film with deep philosophical overtones. In this case, all heroes can be called parasites without exception. Members of the family of oligarchs are too far from the people and they have long become a kind of ulcer on the body of society. But the poor, of course, are also parasites, because they try to take advantage of those benefits that do not belong to them.
