Do you know what “Loom” is? Translated from English, this word means “weaving” or “loom.” Thus, rainbow loom can be translated as “rainbow weaving.” This weaving of small multi-colored elastic bands is becoming more and more popular among children! Unfortunately, weaving machines are quite expensive, so after a little research I found 2 alternative methods.
Instructions
Step 1
Instead of a machine for the rainbow loom, we use 2 pencils, between which we put a regular eraser.
Step 2
Another way is to stick 2 pushpins into the cork.
Step 3
Many weave simply on their fingers. But so that your fingers do not hurt, it is better to use aids. Also for making rainbow loom bracelets a small hook is included in many kits. You can use a regular crochet hook.
Step 4
We also need S-shaped clasps for bracelets and 50-60 multi-colored elastic bands.
Step 5
Now we start the rainbow weaving. It may seem a little complicated at first, but it is actually very simple.
Pull the first elastic band over the pencils, twisting it with an eight.
Then we stretch 2 more elastic bands around the pencils loosely, with the letter O.
Step 6
With a crochet hook, we hook up the bottom elastic band from one pencil, placing it in the middle.
Step 7
We do the same with a loop on another pencil, also removing in the middle.
Step 8
The elastic now wraps around the other elastic bands loosely.
Step 9
We stretch the next elastic band on the pencils, and repeat the action, removing the lower elastic band in the middle.
Step 10
Etc.
Add a new elastic and remove the bottom elastic in the middle.
Step by step, the bracelet grows until we get the weave of the required length.
At the same time, we make the length so that the bracelet is not too tight and does not tighten the wrist.
Step 11
When the desired length is formed, we crochet the two elastic bands remaining on the pencils and put an S-shaped lock on them.
Step 12
We also attach a lock to the other end of the bracelet.
The rainbow loom bracelet is ready!
