If you decide to learn how to play a musical instrument, then it will not be easy to make a choice for the first time if you no longer have clear favorites. Remember that it is not necessary to limit yourself to one instrument: often musicians in search of trying several different ones, in order to then dwell on what they like the most.

Step 1
You can approach the choice of a tool from different points of view. A good place to start is to learn as much as possible about the types of tools in general. Conventionally, they are all divided into three types: rhythmic (or percussion), monophonic and polyphonic. From the same point of view, the degree of complexity of their development increases.
Step 2
The easiest way for beginners is drums, provided that the person feels the rhythm well (this is useful with any instrument). These instruments include drums, especially various ethnic ones. The next most difficult are monophonic instruments. With their help, you can play one melody. Usually monophonic - these are, for example, wind instruments. Of course, they cannot be called completely simple, since regulating breathing during execution is also a very difficult task. But the most difficult, undoubtedly, are polyphonic instruments, which allow you to play the melody and the accompaniment to it. These include the piano or guitar (meaning the classical guitar, not the performance of songs by chords). The difficulty is that you need to act with both hands, moreover, some movements will not be too coordinated with each other, good coordination of movements will be required.
Step 3
The technique of sound production should be taken into account. For example, a transverse flute or violin requires some skill from the musician, otherwise it will not be possible to hit even the simplest note so that it sounds clear. And to play the trumpet, which looks pretty simple, you have to learn to vibrate your lips. Classical guitar also involves different sounding techniques, which differ depending on whether you are playing a classical repertoire or something from the Spanish guitar. In this regard, the piano can look simpler, because there you only need to press the keys. But here, too, the force and velocity of pressing should be regulated, which at first will not be easy at all.
Step 4
All of the above does not mean choosing the simplest instrument, although for those who do not play anything yet, this might be a really good idea. The more complex the instrument, the more possibilities it gives, and the more different compositions you can perform on it.
Step 5
There can be no strict recommendations on the choice of a musical instrument. You should first of all listen to your inner voice. Get ready for the fact that the first time will not be easy - this is natural if you take on the development of a new one. But then things will go easier, and you can already get much more pleasure from the process. It is important in the early stages that you yourself really like the sound of the selected instrument. Then, even if it still turns out badly, it will still be so enjoyable that you yourself will not notice how you will overcome the most difficult stage.
