The "figure eight" chain is woven simply, it can be used as a base for a complex necklace or as an independent decoration. The width depends on the number of beads in each link, their size. To weave the figure eight, you can use bugles and beads, the links will turn out to be triangular.

It is necessary

Beads of different colors, nail scissors, a spool of thread, accessories, a beaded needle, colorless nail polish

Instructions

Step 1

The figure eight chain is woven with one thread. Its elements are like hinges. Each of them consists of several beads, three of them play the role of a connecting link. Each "loop" of the chain has three sides. Cut off a long thread, pick up the beads and slide them towards the end of the thread. The distance between the end of the thread and the beads should be at least 5 cm. First, it will be necessary to fasten the lock and the end of the thread should be long enough. Secondly, if the tip of the working thread is very short, the beads may fall off it.

Step 2

The number of beads in a link can be any (there can be one bead on each side), it must be a multiple of three. Connecting beads are counted separately from the rest. For example, an element consists of nine regular beads and three binders. To weave it, you need to dial 12 beads, with one binder alternating with three simple beads.

Step 3

To form the first link, it is necessary to insert the working thread (with beads on it) into the first (most extreme) bead from bottom to top. In the first "loop" there should be three sides, in the subsequent ones, pick up beads to form two sides (the third side is common with the previous link).

Step 4

Pull up the working thread, you get a loop of beads. One connecting bead is located vertically (it does not participate in the work), the other two are horizontal (one of them is used to weave the next element).

Step 5

In the following elements, pick beads only for two sides of the "link". For example, there are seven beads in the sample (six main and one connecting). Since the beads of the previous element are also involved in weaving. The connecting bead should be placed in a horizontal position so that the thread can be inserted into it when weaving the next "loop".

Step 6

The working thread must be passed through the horizontal connecting bead of the previous "loop".

Step 7

Pull up the working thread to form a "loop". The two elements form a chain that is shaped like an eight. "Links" alternate: lower, upper, lower, upper. Weaving them in one plane will not work. In the process of weaving, the location of the thread should change, otherwise the figure eight will not work.

Step 8

Collect the required number of beads. There are seven of them in the sample (six main and one connecting).

Step 9

Insert the working thread into the horizontal connecting bead of the previous row. To weave the lower element, the working thread is inserted into the connecting bead from bottom to top. To weave the upper "loop", the working thread must be inserted vice versa, from top to bottom.

Step 10

Continue weaving the chain, alternating the upper and lower loops.
