Photos of buildings look just as good as portraits. If a photographer is a master of his craft, then a simple, unremarkable skyscraper turns into something mysterious and aesthetic in his work. However, not everyone knows how to photograph buildings so that the result is stunning.

Step 1
Find a suitable subject for shooting. It can be an unusual architectural structure or an ordinary multi-storey building - it all depends on what goals you are pursuing when creating the picture.
Step 2
Take a close look at the object, try to make the photograph of the building form in your head. Ignore the details and light, just present a plan for the job. At this stage, it is important to determine the angle of the survey and the distance at which it will be performed.
Step 3
Think about the technique you need. Choose a lens, flash. You will hardly need a tripod, but if you plan to photograph at night, then do not forget about it, otherwise you will not get a good shot.
Step 4
After taking a couple of shots, don't stop. You can always delete unnecessary frames, and the stock of photos will give you the opportunity to choose. Remember that it is not uncommon for shots that seem to be unsuccessful, on closer inspection, are quite interesting. In addition, you will not be able to see the picture until you display it on the computer screen or print it.
Step 5
Experiment. Shoot by changing your position relative to the light source. This often gives good results. Nice shots can be obtained by choosing a non-standard angle.
Step 6
Remember that photographs of buildings love black and white. This is their format. Modern buildings, for example, industrial facilities, look especially good in two-tone design.
Step 7
If it seems to you that all the pictures you have taken are unsuccessful, do not be discouraged and do not delete the pictures from the computer memory. Deficiencies can be eliminated with the help of a graphical editor: fortunately, today there is no shortage of software. In addition, by saving a photo, you can analyze your mistakes, that is, learn how to avoid them in the future. And this, believe me, is a lot!
