Music is a great thing. It gives strength, cheers up, makes the heart beat more often, or, conversely, calms, lulls. And yet, one wants not only to listen to the melodies recorded on the disc, but also to perform music. The piano is the main instrument from which the teaching of musical literacy begins. And playing it is a pleasure …
Instructions
Step 1
To play the piano, you need to have at least some understanding of musical literacy. Without this elementary knowledge, you will not be able to read the notes and, as a result, one cacophony will come out from under your fingers, not music. Learn the names of the notes, the basic chords, understand for yourself what is "sharp", "flat", "bekar".
Learn to parse a piece of music. As indicated by the duration of a sound, the transfer a few octaves lower, eights, sixteenths, and so on - all this must be mastered before practicing the game. Division into measures, time signature, rhythm - you cannot do without it.
Step 2
If you are new to this business, start your practice not with complex Bach preludes, but with simple pieces specially adapted for children. It's like reading a book in English that has been revised for the entry-level. Do not shy away from this stage: this is the only way you can come to the performance of your favorite pieces.
When you are practicing a piece, take your time and keep a close eye on the rhythm. It's good if you have a metronome: this device will teach you to keep within a certain rhythm and speed of performance, and you will not "run forward" or stretch the piece.
Step 3
Exercise regularly and keep your arms toned. Playing the piano requires dexterity and dexterity with your fingers. Also fingers should be long enough. Short fingers are, of course, not a sentence, it will just be more difficult for you to take octaves.
Play scales using a different rhythmic pattern to develop your hands. You can also practice chords in this way. This will help you to learn musical literacy better.
Step 4
Make sure that the piano is well tuned. A frustrated instrument is not just a damaged sound, it is often also a damaged hearing. You may not have absolute hearing from nature, but music practice develops it, and it will be very disappointing if the results of your labors or natural talent come to naught because of an instrument that is not tuned in time.
Step 5
When playing the piano, pay attention to your posture at the instrument. The height of the chair should be ideal so that you can play comfortably. Keep your back straight. Set the seat at about the first octave level to ensure you have access to the entire keyboard. The notes on the stand should be well lit. If you can't see well, put on glasses or lenses so as not to bend over to the notebook every time in search of the desired note. The hands should not "lie" on the keys. Hands in general should be moderately tense. Playing the piano is not only a pleasure, but also a lot of work.
