A full-size pattern of cut details is the best helper when crocheting. It will serve as a template by which you can perform any complex stages of work. For example, with the help of preliminary calculations on paper, you can easily close the necessary loops for a neat armhole of the sleeves of a top or an openwork blouse.
It is necessary
- - hook;
- - a thread;
- - tracing paper;
- - pencil;
- - notebook;
- - knitting pattern.
Instructions
Step 1
Draw a line from one (for example, the left) armhole of the garment's sleeve on the life-size pattern. For convenience, you can use tracing paper.
Step 2
Place the finished paper template over the finished knit pattern made with the main pattern. This can be the lower part of the front or back of the product. The picture of the necessary decreases in the columns to create a smooth rounding of the canvas will become clear.
Step 3
See how many elements of the pattern (rapports) include the armhole of the left sleeve in length. For example, you are using a simple stitch arch pattern. Each rapport includes 7 thread arms; the edge of each new arch is secured by tying the central link of the same arch of the lower row.
Step 4
Write in a workbook which parts of the rapport (one arch) will have to be removed from work in the first row; then in the second row, etc. You will make the calculation of the right armhole line according to this sample, but you will form it in a mirror image.
Step 5
You can close the loops for the armhole by differently pulling the working thread with a crochet at the beginning (one armhole) or at the end (second armhole) of the row. If you need to decrease the fabric at the beginning of the row, pull the thread to the first working loop and pull it through the post. Then continue knitting as usual. The level of the columns in the canvas rises. Please note: the stretched thread should lie freely, without tightening the knitting!
Step 6
At the end of the row, on the contrary, you need to lower the level of the columns for the armhole. In this case, tie the fabric to the point of the decrease and pull the working thread through the last loop of the row. Pull the ball of thread through the large arc formed. Leave the loop on the bar of the hook, only tighten it to the size of a regular air chain link. Pull a working thread through it and knit further.
Step 7
Try knitting an openwork pattern for the front of a size 40-42 blouse. Cast on 141 links of the air chain and knit the front piece with a pattern of arches. For example, the density of your knitting is 50 rows by 33 cm. Tie 52 rows and close 3 arches on both sides. The armholes of the sleeves are ready.
